22. Indiana Hoosiers

Last Week: Unranked

Even though Indiana cracked the AP top-25 for the first time this season this week, I still think that the team is being undersold. With Juwan Morgan and Romeo Langford leading the way, this is a team that has the firepower to compete near the top of the Big Ten. Additionally, there is plenty of depth on the roster and head coach Archie Miller is starting to make his impact on the program in Year 2. The Hoosiers have also already landed a few quality wins (Marquette, Northwestern, Louisville) this season. Their only two losses came on the road against Arkansas and Duke.

In regards to the rest of IU’s non-conference schedule, they have another tough test coming up at the Crossroads Classic. During this edition of the event, the Hoosiers will be matched up with the Butler Bulldogs, a team that is knocking on the door of the top-25. This will likely prove to be a difficult matchup before finishing the non-conference slate with a couple of cupcake matchups.

As already alluded to, Morgan (15.5 points, 8.0 rebounds) and Langford (18.2 points, 5.3 rebounds) have been the guiding forces of the Indiana offense to this point in the season. Perhaps more importantly, though, is the incredible depth of the team. In total, eight different Hoosiers are averaging over five points per game so far this year.
