Colorado Buffaloes

Ever since an early loss to San Diego on Nov. 20, Colorado has quietly gone about its business. The Buffaloes are now winners of six consecutive games and they are steadily moving up the national ranks. Of course, their schedule has not particularly challenging but they did add an underrated road win over New Mexico this week. Colorado has already proven that they can win away from home this year (2-1 on the road) and that should only help the team come Pac-12 play.

Additionally, with sophomores McKinley Wright IV (14.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 5.9 assists) and Tyler Bey (12.3 points, 8.8 rebounds) leading the way, Colorado has the stars to compete near the top of the conference. As of right now, the top of the Pac-12 seems fairly up in the air and the Buffaloes might be able to sneak into contention fairly soon. This might be a hot take but how many teams in the Pac-12 do you actually feel comfortable betting on right now? Not many.

Looking ahead, as long as the Buffaloes take care of business in a neutral-site matchup against Indiana State, they will enter Pac-12 play with just one loss. Then, Colorado will take on Arizona and Arizona State in back-to-back road games to start conference play. That trip will give us a much better idea of just how successful Colorado could be this season.
