3. TCU Horned Frogs (8-1)

Previous Ranking: No. 5

After losing to Lipscomb and subsequently falling out of the top-25 to end the month of November, TCU has regained its rhythm in a big way. The Horned Frogs have won their first three games of December, including a pair of wins over solid teams, defeating SMU on the road and demolishing USC by 30.

Jaylen Fisher and Kouat Noi are back to full health, which is huge for TCU, as the Horned Frogs should be back in the top-25 any week now. Jamie Dixon’s squad is one of the best shooting teams in the country and they’ve shown in so far this season, frequently putting up 90 points.

The three-point shooting for the Horned Frogs has been a real plus as well, as Fisher and Noi, as well as junior guard Desmond Bane, have been shooting it lights out from deep early on. TCU, when at full health, is truly dangerous, as they have the perfect mix of shooting, passing, and defense to compete with any team on any given day.

If December has proved anything, it’s that last month’s loss to Lipscomb was a fluke. The TCU Horned Frogs are back, and they’re healthy as ever. They’ll host Baylor to start out Big 12 conference play in January, and have emerged back to being the contender that many thought they could’ve been heading into the season.

TCU might only go as far as Fisher shoots them but he has shot the ball pretty darn well as far, and TCU just might have what it takes to make a deep run in the Big 12.
