10. North Carolina Tar Heels
Record: 8-2 (0-0 ACC)
Last Week: No. 12
North Carolina easily picked up the best win of this week thanks to a dominant offensive performance in front of their home crowd against Gonzaga. Knocking off the Bulldogs is easily the best win to date for the Tar Heels, who are in the midst of an incredibly tough stretch of non-conference games. Kentucky, Davidson, and Harvard are the next three games for UNC and all of those opponents have the talent to potentially compete.
The main reasons why I am high on UNC right now, though, are Coby White and Nassir Little. For two freshmen with limited college experience, both of them are playing like veterans with their pace and decision-making. The scary thought is how good these two could be as they continue to develop and get even more accustomed to the speed of the college game. Once they hit their peak this season, that duo could be very dangerous.
Oh, and I guess the two seniors are relatively solid as well. Cameron Johnson (16.6 points) and Luke Maye (14.3 points, 10.0 rebounds) are not only vocal leaders but players who prove why they are so important on the court. UNC, especially offensively, has the potential to be ridiculously dangerous.
