NCAA Basketball Power Rankings: Oklahoma rises, Gonzaga falls
24. TCU Horned Frogs
Record: 8-1 (0-0 Big 12)
Last Week: No. 24
TCU did not play a game during this past week and therefore their movement in the rankings is very minimal. With that said, I will reiterate my main point regarding the Horned Frogs this season: when completely healthy, this is the team with arguably the best shot at taking down Kansas at the top of the Big 12. This is due to the fact that, in my opinion, it is very difficult to find a more experienced and talented group of guards in the nation.
Alex Robinson (13.1 points, 9.0 assists), Desmond Bane (14.8 points, 5.9 rebounds) and now a healthy Jaylen Fisher make up an elite backcourt trio that will be extremely difficult to stop in conference play. These three all bring a little something different to the table and that makes matching up with them on the perimeter nearly an impossible challenge. Add in the fact that freshman guard Kendric Davis has performed admirably so far this season and the depth is there as well if the starters deal with any foul trouble.
There is also one extremely big difference between last season and this one for the Horned Frogs. TCU was quite vulnerable last season when the team was not scoring at an elite level. This time around, though, the Horned Frogs are much more capable of locking on the defensive end and winning with stops rather simply attempting to outscore opponents.
