4. A free throw guru

With the Gators having such a tough time offensively early on, one place they need to be able to take advantage of and put points on the board is the free throw line. Unfortunately for coach White’s team, they have struggled both getting to the free throw line and making shots once they get there.

So, another thing Florida needs gift wrapped under their tree is a free throw shooting guru that can help them put points on the board when their shots aren’t falling.

Not only do the Gators shoot just 63.5% from the line, which ranks them 314th in the country, they also attempted just 170 on the season, which is in the bottom third of teams in the country. Both their percentage and their 108 makes are worst in the SEC. That percentage could be even worse if not for Allen’s 21-27 from the stripe as the four other players who have attempted at least 15 free throws have combined to shoot just 57%.

Florida desperately needs someone who can fix their ailments at the free throw line, because for a team that is currently struggling to knock down shots, getting to the line is a cure for most other teams and for them, at least right now it is not.
