With the holidays fast approaching, here are five things that the Indiana basketball program should hope to have under their tree.

With Christmas just a few days away, college basketball teams have little time to get their wish list to the North Pole to ask Santa for things that will help them for the remainder of the hoops season. Archie Miller is turning the Indiana basketball around. He has the 9-2 Hoosiers in the top-25 after they were picked to finish third in the Big Ten preseason poll. Indiana is looking to get back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2015-16 when they made the Sweet Sixteen.

The team is led by freshman star guard Romeo Langford and senior forward Juwan Morgan, who both average over 17 points per game. Morgan leads the team in rebounding with 7.6 per game and the 6-6 Langford is second with 5.5. Indiana’s losses were to Arkansas by a single point and 90-69 at the hands of Duke. Since that loss to Duke, they have won five straight, although it hasn’t been easy; four of those wins came by a total of eight points.

So far this year, the Hoosiers have used an eight-man rotation for the most part, and all eight of those players are averaging at least five points per game. That depth has helped the team to a 51.5% field goal percentage, 5th best in the country.

So, what can Indiana ask for from the jolly big man to help them as they enter the crux of their Big Ten schedule with an eye towards post-season play? Here are five things that’ll help the Hoosiers even better.
