Christmas is just days away, so to go along with the Christmas spirit, let’s take a look at five things North Carolina Basketball should ask for Christmas.

It has been a rollercoaster non-conference play season for North Carolina Basketball in 2018.

After beginning the season ranked #8, the Tar Heels fell to the hands of an unranked Texas Longhorns team on Thanksgiving. After picking up a win against #17 UCLA, North Carolina was absolutely demolished by Michigan, 84-67.

Since the Michigan loss, the Tar Heels have won their last two games, including a big upset at home against #4 Gonzaga last Saturday. The win solidified UNC as a contender, something that they certainly didn’t look like in November despite their ranking.

As for on-court production, North Carolina has received a fair amount of production from both experienced upperclassmen such as Luke Maye and Kenny Williams, as well as from star freshman Nassir Little and Coby White.

We’ll get further into both the upper and underclassmen for the Tar Heels in a bit, but the distribution of production has been a major plus for North Carolina. To put it shortly, everybody is playing as expected.

The ACC is expected to be as competitive as ever in 2019, and with just three non-conference games to go, North Carolina certainly has a lot to ask for Christmas if they want everything to work out well past the new year.

Here are five things that North Carolina should be asking for Christmas.
