Strong finishes to the collegiate careers of Luke Maye, Kenny Williams

During their careers at North Carolina, Luke Maye and Kenny Williams have had their fair share of accomplishments and accolades.

Both have won a National Championship, coming in 2017, but an encore to their college careers would be really special for two significant players in North Carolina Basketball history.

So far in 2018, Maye is averaging 14 points per game and ten rebounds per game. The Tar Heels starting power forward has been a huge shot-maker on offense, as well as a big stopper on defense. Maye, whose UNC career has been summed up by his clutch shot to send the Tar Heels to the 2017 Final Four, would certainly love to finish his storied college career by upping his impressive numbers even more.

Meanwhile, Williams is in the midst of a somewhat disappointing senior season. The senior guard is averaging just 7 points and five assists per game, down big from his 11 points per game last season. However, it’s not too late for Williams to find his stroke in the stretch run of his college career, and he’ll need to do just that, as his shot-making ability in clutch situations has been his calling card during his three-and-a-half seasons in Chapel Hill.

The most durable teams, and the teams that are the best suited to make Championship runs are always built around seniors. North Carolina’s pair of seniors are one of the best senior duos in the country, and they’ll have to perform as just that during conference play if North Carolina wants any chance at making a deep run in the ACC, as well as adding another Final Four to their already-impressive college resumes.
