The holiday season is here and teams around the country landed some huge bracketology winners for their future NCAA Tournament resumes.

Non-conference play is coming to a close around the nation and teams are eagerly trying to land their final chances for high-quality wins out of their conferences. And while many failed to come away with these victories, several teams were able to take advantage and land major wins for the NCAA Tournament resume down the road. These teams could be defined as Bracketology Winners of the week because of how they each improved their potential seeding or odds of selection come March.

In order to truly pick out the biggest winners of the week, I focused on those programs who might be sitting on the early-season bubble or those that desperately needed a resume-defining win to boost their resume should they start to flounder in conference play. Because of that, there are no top-10 teams on this list (such as Duke taking down Texas Tech, for instance) as these teams should already be close to locks not only to make the Big Dance but also to receive a high seed. Therefore these winners take a bit of a closer look at those teams that needed their respective wins most to make the biggest leap up the seed lines.

Now, without further ado, let’s dive into five of my biggest winners this week with regards to Bracketology placement at this point in time. All of these teams earned big wins to raise their current stock heading into conference play and hopefully that momentum will lead to a strong stretch of performances.
