Duke Basketball came into the year with one of the most hyped teams ever, and they have lived up to the spotlight so far. What else could Duke need during the holidays this season?

Duke basketball always generates a lot of attention on the national platform, but this year that buzz was taken to a whole new level. This extra buzz was generated through the Blue Devil’s number one recruiting class. One of the players in the recruiting class is Zion Williamson – who entered campus with more than two million Instagram followers.

This sort of buzz had college basketball analysts raving about the young Blue Devil team. After dominating the No. 2 Kentucky Wildcats 118-84, the Blue Devils started getting 24/7 coverage. This coverage led to wild ideas about undefeated seasons, beating NBA teams, and hanging with the Fab-Five. These irrational opinions were quickly put to rest after the Blue Devils suffered their first loss to a hot Gonzaga Bulldog team in the Maui Invitational Championship.

Although the Blue Devils put to rest these irrational opinions – that does not mean they aren’t good. In fact, the Blue Devils are absolutely amazing this year. They have already beaten four top twenty-five teams this season. The Blue Devils are really rolling after a 69-58, win over Texas Tech on Thursday night.

With the Blue Devils playing so well and being so much fun to watch – it’s hard to think about asking for anything else. However, there are a few things the Blue Devils could still wish for in the holiday season.
