The most wonderful time of the year meets Christmas this week as “Holiday Hoops” are among us. Here’s a look at our four holiday wishes this year for Louisville Basketball.

Dear Elves and Elven Associates,

Hopefully this makes the North Pole in time. There’s a shot clock on Christmas and it’s starting to wind. I knew Santa’d be busy and he gets all the hype so I’m writing YOU, the heroes…who built my first bike. I won’t ask for much, the Yum! has most what it needs, there are stands full of fans, cheering their team. Coach Mack has righted a sleigh run amuck, pulling up on the reins so it didn’t get stuck.

On Dasher, on Dancer, I’m wishing a wish. I hope this letter finds you, my Cards Christmas list.

Honorable mentions:
-An All-Ryan McMahon photoshoot calendar
-Revenge against Virginia
-A Gorgui Statue(still waiting…5 years running)
-For any Card to be as good at anything as Dan McDonell is at coaching baseball
-Our $40k back
-That “Men In Black” mind eraser pen for Cardinal Football 2018 memories
-The immediate retirement of Doug Gottlieb
-Larry O’Bannon Bobble-Head night

The Last Win In December Would Be Quite The Gift

There is only one game left in December before Louisville is set to start ACC play against Miami on January 6th. Everyone is well aware of December 29th’s opponent.

Louisville has just two wins in the last eleven meetings in its rivalry with Kentucky. Miracles might not be needed as Louisville, for the first time this season, has taken a slight edge in the projection of this year’s matchup, per Ken Pomeroy.

The Cards will however, need to put forth a more solid effort than they showed at home against Robert Morris on Friday. Trailing by as much as 11 in the first half Chris Mack’s team looked unfocused and astray with graduate transfer point guard, Christen Cunningham, out with an injury.

If we’re granted this item on our Christmas wish list it’ll be, in part, because Santa sprinkled a little holiday cheer on Louisville’s injury report.

But what we wish for most is a spirited effort at home, limiting fouls early against post players and denying Kentucky’s front line the room to work on offense. Achieving all of those goals would surely put the Cards over the top and give the fans a late Christmas gift they won’t soon forget.
