11. Auburn Tigers

Record: 10-2 (0-0 SEC)

Last Week: No. 8

Auburn competed in two games during this past week, suffering their second loss of the year at the hands of NC State and recovering with a strong win over Murray State. In the end, this was far from a disastrous week but it did cause the team to drop a bit in the rankings. With that said, though, it would be a mistake to think that Auburn cannot return to the top-10 soon.

Despite the loss, Auburn still has plenty of talent to compete near the top of the SEC. Tennessee (more on them to come) might still be the favorite to win the league but it would be a mistake to count out the Tigers. With Jared Harper and Bryce Brown leading the way, Auburn has one of the best backcourts in the nation and they will be very difficult for many teams to match up with.

So, even though Auburn dropped out of the top-10 this week, there is a fairly good chance that they return in the near future. This team has plenty of talent and they should be able to win the vast majority of their games within the SEC. They will, though, need to do a better job defending the 3-point line (37.2% opponent 3P%).
