9. Florida State Seminoles

Record: 11-1 (0-0 ACC)

Last Week: No. 11

Florida State, in my opinion, has been the most underrated team in the nation so far. Behind stellar depth and offensive balance, the Seminoles are nearly impossible to match up against. Head coach Leonard Hamilton has put together an insanely talented roster that can win with either its offense or defense. Additionally, the team is able to play at an extremely fast pace due to the depth of the roster. As long as the Seminoles are able to set the pace, they can wear teams down by the end of games.

During this past week, Florida State added three wins. And while their victories over Southeast Missouri State and North Florida might not mean much, they put together an excellent performance against Saint Louis to end the week. The Billikens should compete for the Atlantic 10 title this season but the Seminoles showed no signs of weakness as they rolled through them by 22 points.

Looking ahead, Florida State will take on Winthrop in their final non-conference game prior to launching into ACC play with a road matchup against Virginia. That game, which will take place on Jan. 5, should be circled on everyone’s calendar.
