Other points worth noting…

This season is still incredibly young. Non-conference play is not complete and therefore it is impossible to determine exactly who will receive at-large bids and where they will be seeded come March. With that said, though, teams have started to solidify their positions a bit on the national stage. The NET rankings, in particular, are starting to match what our eyes are seeing play out on the court (and I never compliment rankings systems…).

For the most part, we (as bracketologists) have a general idea of which teams will be in contention for at-large bids throughout the rest of this year. The internal bubble is starting to shrink a little bit even though every team still has plenty of time to build a stronger resume. In short, though, don’t panic if your team is not mentioned in this article at all. If they win games consistently, they will make the seed list sooner rather than later.

Stay tuned for more updates throughout the season! My projected field will update every Friday for the next month or so before expanding to two updates per week.
