4. TCU Horned Frogs (11-1)

Previous Ranking: No. 3

How is TCU not ranked in the top 25?

Despite an early season loss at home to Lipscomb, the TCU Horned Frogs are on a roll. The Horned Frogs have won 11 games on the season, and have defeated SMU, USC, and Bucknell early on.

TCU started out the season ranked in the Top 25, but fell out after their loss. That loss came while guards Jaylen Fisher and Kouat Noi were out with injures, but now that both Fisher and Noi are back and healthy, the Frogs are back to their sharpshooting ways.

TCU has emerged as one of the top shooting teams in the country in non-conference play, as the shooting of Fisher, Noi, and Desmond Bane has been the defining feature of the Horned Frogs.

Senior guard Alex Robinson has also made a major impact with his passing, averaging 13.1 points and 8.6 assists per game on the season.

TCU recently won the Diamond Head Classic in Hawaii, defeating Charlotte, Bucknell and Indiana State en route to the championship, with none of the three games being all that close.

The Horned Frogs will host Baylor on January 5th to start out conference play, before they’ll head on the road to Kansas to face the #5 Jayhawks on January 9th.

TCU has caught fire at the right time, and they’ve looked to have completely regained their form from preseason. TCU will surely be a contender in the Big 12, and has all the weapons to challenge Kansas at the top if they can stay healthy.
