7. Gonzaga Bulldogs

Record: 12-2 (0-0 WCC)

Last Week: No. 7

I believe that Gonzaga has the best offense in the nation. Yup. I said it. This entire roster is not only complete with a ton of talent but the pieces all gel together well on the offensive end and complement each other. Additionally, just about every player has the ability to win their one-on-one matchup and get a bucket on their own when necessary. This makes for a unique offensive unit that can score against just about anyone in the nation. And through non-conference play, that much has been evident. Gonzaga has scored less than 80 points on just occasion and that was their neutral-site loss to Tennessee.

Additionally, nobody can complain about these numbers being boosted by a weak schedule at this point in time. Gonzaga has already faced off against eight teams ranked in the KenPom top-100 and that is not something that many teams can say. And while they did suffer two losses in the non-conference (neutral-site vs. Tennessee and at North Carolina), they also snagged some big victories as well: Texas A&M, Arizona, Duke, Creighton, and Washington.

It is also important to mention that the WCC is not exactly a weak conference this year. With BYU, St. Mary’s, San Francisco, and San Diego all playing at a high-level (all ranked in the KenPom top-100), this league will give the Zags some tough fights. In fact, the WCC is currently ranked as the eighth-best league in the country.
