Ivy League: A.J. Brodeur, Penn

Penn has emerged as a real mid major powerhouse this season, pulling off a shocking upset against Villanova earlier in December.

The Penn Quakers are led by a series of special players, but the top one amongst them is A.J. Brodeur, a junior forward. Brodeur is averaging 14 points per game and 7 rebounds per game, and is the Quakers’ emotional leader in addition to on court production.

Brodeurs’ Quakers are the favorite to win the Ivy League for the second year in a row, and could be a 12 seed in the NCAA tournament. Penn is awfully dangerous this season, and it would be no surprise to me to see them dancing for a while this March, thanks to the heroics and production of A.J. Brodeur.

Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference: Stevie Jordan, Rider

Rider was on a lot of mid major watchlists heading into the season, and while their season has been mostly a disappointment to this point, their leading scorer is by no means experiencing a disappointing season.

Stevie Jordan, a junior guard, is averaging just ten points and five assists on the season. The MAAC is pretty weak on talent, and Jordan is pretty much the top player by default here.

That is still no knock against him, as Jordan makes the Broncos dangerous come March, if they can manage to make it out of the MAAC as the single bid.

Jordan has a lot of talent that goes past his average stats, and for that, he is the top player in the MAAC.
