The non-conference part of the NCAA basketball season is finally over. Who were the big winners and who definitely did not so far?

It seems like the NCAA basketball season just started and we are already almost halfway through. We have had a few surprises and some major disappointments. We have had one high-profile coach get fired (more on that later) and a couple of coaches cement themselves as some of the best in the country.

The Pac-12 has looked ridiculously terrible and the Big Ten, ACC and even the Big 12 has shown who reigns supreme. Michigan has shown everyone that last year was not a fluke, while Villanova has shown that even champions can have down years.

Duke looks like they have the newest fabulous freshman and Virginia still plays defense like their life depends on it. We have seen great games and some shocking upsets. The season has been great so far and should only get better once we get into the thick of the conference schedule.

But before we dive headfirst into the greatest time of the year for college basketball we take a look at the top ten winners and losers of the non-conference. Which teams are on their way up and which teams need help. We take a look at it all.
