Conference play is beginning and bracketology is starting to make headlines. There is plenty of time for teams to move up but here is our projected field.

Here we go. Non-conference play is complete for just about every team and their most important games are coming up. Regardless of whether your favorite team resides in a Power 6 conference or a mid-major league, the next two months are what make or break the season for each team. Conference play is where teams define their talent level and bulk up their resume for a potential NCAA Tournament bid down the road. And while some teams may success and others may flounder, this is the time of year where college basketball really starts to hit its stride.

Football season is finally nearing its end and that means it is time for fans to take note of the most exciting sport in the nation. March Madness is, in my opinion, the best yearly sporting event of the year and the lead-up to Selection Sunday is also extremely exciting. For me, this is my fourth year (third at Busting Brackets) covering bracketology with consistent projected fields. As those of you who have followed my work in the past know, these bracketology updates are not my own opinions but rather how I predict the tournament committee would select/seed teams.

With all of this introduction out of the way, let’s dive into this week’s edition of my projected field of 68. Does your favorite team make an appearance or do they still have some work to do in conference play? Do you agree with my predictions or do you think the committee would select/seeds teams a differently?
