The Duke Basketball coaches have started to recruit the 2020 class more intensely. Here is the group of players the coaching staff is keying in on.

(The following stats and rankings are based off the 247Sports composite.) The Duke Blue Devils 2019 recruiting class is starting to take shape. The Blue Devils are sitting with the No. 6 overall class currently, as they wait to hear from five-stars Isaiah Stewart and Matthew Hurt.

Jon Scheyer has been the primary recruiter for Stewart. Scheyer was also the primary recruiter for other Blue Devil commits like Vernon Carey, Cam Reddish, Jayson Tatum, Zion Williamson, and Frank Jackson. The Blue Devils are pushing the idea of Stewart and Carey playing together on the floor next year. The 6-foot-10 center is ranked No. 4 overall and No. 2 in his position. This recruiting battle is predicted to come down to another Tom Izzo vs. Mike Krzyzewski match-up. The 247Sports crystal ball gives Michigan State a 44% chance, and the Blue Devils a 33% chance to land the talents of Stewart.

Hurt has also been primarily recruited by Scheyer as well. The 6-foot-9 forward ranks No. 9 overall and No. 2 in his position in the 2019 class. Hurt is set to take his official visit to Duke on Jan. 19 when the Blue Devils face-off with the Virginia Cavaliers in Durham. The 247Sports crystal ball has the Kansas Jayhawks as the overwhelming favorite now at 75%.

The Blue Devils have already secured commitments in the 2019 recruiting class from five-stars Vernon Carey (2nd overall) and Wendell Moore (24th overall). They also have a commitment from four-star Boogie Ellis (36th overall). With the 2019 class starting to take shape, the Blue Devils have started to offer and switch their focus to the 2020 class. The Blue Devils have already offered five prospects in the 2020 class, which all happen to be five-stars.

The Blue Devils are the 247Sports crystal ball favorites in three of the five recruits they have offered. This article will take a look into these five recruits and how the Blue Devils stand as of now.
