UNC continues to struggle and Maryland has emerged as one of the Big Ten’s best NCAA Basketball teams. What else have we learned? Find out in this week’s Rauf Report.

This week showed us all why we love college basketball.

Upsets? Check. Unranked teams pulled off 12 wins over ranked foes this week.

Stars? Duke‘s Zion Williamson dropped 30 against Wake Forest and Marquette’s Markus Howard scored 53 against Creighton.

Buzzer beaters? There were a ton, from New Mexico State to Georgetown, but none were as big as the one Cameron Reddish hit to push Duke past Florida State, keeping the Blue Devils at No. 1 in the country.

Obviously, that shot was big because it gave the Blue Devils the win, but it also resonated because of what it meant for Reddish. The No. 3 overall recruit in the country had struggled all season long and had scored 10 points or less in each of Duke’s last six games. But, against the Seminoles, Reddish scored 23 points while posting the best shooting night (60 percent, 62.5 percent from three) of his short college career.

R.J. Barrett also had one of his most efficient games of the year, scoring 32 points on 10-19 shooting.

Those two things – Reddish’s play and Barrett’s inefficiency – have been two of Duke’s biggest problems all year. If they’re able to fix those issues like they did Saturday, the Blue Devils have yet another level they can reach. That is downright scary for the rest of the country.

Reddish’s shot was the major headline on Saturday, but what else did we learn from the past week of college hoops action? Here are my eight biggest takeaways in this week’s Rauf Report.
