Conference play all over college basketball is now fully into gear. Who are the early teams that have benefitted the most in Bracketology?

The second full week of conference play from the 2018-19 college basketball season has completed, with a ton of results affecting the landscape for the upcoming NCAA Tournament. Many teams have already suffered losses within their league, with just over 50 remaining that are unbeaten.

When it comes to Bracketology, the fortunes of any team can turn within a week – for better or worse. For example, Alabama was featured in last week’s article for the biggest winners. Then just this past Saturday, the Crimson Tide fell at home to Texas A&M, quite possibly the worst team in the SEC and negates to massive previous win over Kentucky.

But there were plenty of teams who had a great last week. Villanova continued their run with a pair of wins to get on top of the Big East, while the AAC had several programs that made cases for at-large consideration. Some heavyweights maintained their status as future top seeds such as Texas Tech and Michigan, while bubble teams like Arizona put themselves in a better situation than they were previously.

For this piece, I took a look at five specific teams who had the best week in regards to Bracketology. A couple may be safely in, while others have emerged as clear threats to make the NCAA Tournament, including one that wasn’t on anyone’s radar just a couple of weeks ago.
