Does anyone know what’s going on in Big East basketball? Probably not but let’s take a look at a new edition of the conference’s power rankings anyway!

There might not be a tougher conference to rank at this point in time than Big East basketball. Every single night in the conference is incredibly competitive and nobody really knows who is going to come away victorious. For most conferences, it is reasonable to bet on the home team but that has not exactly been the case so far this season. In fact, home teams are only winning 56.0% of the time in conference play, which is the 21st-highest rate in the country (out of 32 conferences).

Yet, despite how difficult it is to rank the conference, I am going to give it my best shot. And yes, I follow the Big East extremely closely and run these rankings every other week. This is my favorite league in the country due to how competitive it is night in and night out, even if this is a “down season” compared to normal standards. You might hate me for the rankings that follow but please don’t because let’s be real: Nobody knows what’s going on in the Big East.

But before I dive in, I also want to give a quick disclaimer: I swear I did not use a random number generator even though I definitely thought about it. I hope that Big East basketball starts to paint a bit clearer picture over the next few weeks but it is almost impossible to determine where each team belongs at this point in time.

Now, without any further ado, let’s dive into this week’s rankings.
