Indiana basketball has dropped three consecutive games. Will the Hoosiers be able to get back on track in a road matchup with Purdue?

Indiana basketball is clearly in a rut. After starting the season at 12-2 and cracking into the national top-25, the Hoosiers have dropped three consecutive games. And while all of these losses came to top-30 teams (Michigan, Maryland, Nebraska), it would have been nice to see the team walk away with at least one victory during this stretch. This is also especially true when you consider the fact that four of Indiana’s next five games come on the road, making it very difficult to get back on track.

The best way to return to form, though, is by focusing on each upcoming game rather than dwelling on the past or looking ahead on the schedule. This means that the Hoosiers need to be 100% focused on their next matchup, which comes on the road against in-state rival Purdue. The Boilermakers, who are led by star guard Carsen Edwards, have won back-to-back games over Wisconsin and Rutgers while rising into the top-20 of many predictive metrics. With this said, taking down the Boilermakers on the road will be a tall task.

And considering the Hoosiers are just 1-4 in true road games this year, they need to gain some confidence playing away from home as well. Indiana has plenty of talent to compete in this upcoming matchup but they will need to play to their strengths while also taking advantage of Purdue’s weaknesses to secure the win. With this said, let’s dive into previewing three potential keys to success for Indiana against Purdue.
