No. 1: Baylor Bears

Would Fisher consider staying in the Big 12, more less the state of Texas?

We’ll see. But if he leaves his options wide open, there could be a perfect fit right down the block.

That team is the Baylor Bears.

For one, Baylor hasn’t been a stranger to big transfers, especially point guards. Current leading scorer Makai Mason is a transfer from Yale, while the Bear’s point guard from 2017-2018 was Manu Lecomte, a transfer from Miami.

Additionally, Baylor is going to have a need at point guard next season. Mason is a senior, and it is yet to be announced if senior guard Jake Lindsey will be eligible for next season, after being sidelined for the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury.

Fisher would be a major add for the Bears regardless of Lindsey’s status for next season. The departure of Mason is going to be a huge loss for the Bears, but Fisher completely fills all of the losses in production from Mason, and is arguably a better and more efficient scorer.

Finally, Baylor was a finalist for Fisher back when he was a senior in high school. While Fisher ultimately would commit to TCU, Baylor was given major consideration throughout the process, and the mutual interest has always been present.

The biggest thing in the way of Fisher transferring to Baylor is the conference and location. Given the reason for Fisher’s transfer, it wouldn’t suit him well to stay in essentially the same situation. While Baylor would give him a great opportunity to make an impact, the school might just be too close to Fort Worth.
