Michigan Basketball has been slumping offensively lately but got a buzzer-beating shot by Charles Matthews to beat Minnesota on Tuesday. Will that momentum carry on into their matchup with Indiana in Bloomington?

Matchup: Michigan Wolverines (18-1, 7-1 Big Ten) at Indiana Hoosiers (12-7, 3-6 Big Ten)

Date and time: Friday, Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m. ET

TV schedule: FS1

Location: Assembly Hall, Bloomington, IN

Michigan Basketball will look to get their shot back on Friday when they visit struggling Indiana. The Hoosiers have lost five straight that started with a road loss against these Wolverines. Michigan is coming off a buzzer-beating win against Minnesota when they struggled to score 59 points. That game along with the previous one against Wisconsin has started to raise some doubts in the media’s mind about how good Michigan really is.

The one thing that has not faltered has been their defense. If not for a late barrage of points in the last minute of the Wisconsin game would have given up under 60 points in the last two games. The defense has continued to shine even without the shots dropping for the Wolverines. They were just 3-22 from deep against the Gophers and it seemed at times that there was a lid on the rim.

Michigan’s offense was never supposed to carry them this year, but the last two games have been bad. Charles Matthews has been struggling with his shot and Jordan Poole has also struggled to find his rhythm in the offense. Iggy Brazdeikis broke out in the second half against the Gophers but was held scoreless against Wisconsin.

Michigan will need those three guys to get going again if they want to continue to their run near the top of the Big Ten. It is not panic time yet, but a few more games of shots not falling and it could bring out some doubts.

Michigan won their last game in Bloomington two season’s ago, but before that, they had struggled to win in Assembly Hall. Can the Wolverines make it two in a row there or will IU finally get back on track? We look at three keys for the Wolverines to get a big road win and get back on track.
