This last week saw many changes in the bracketology projected field. Which teams moved the most and landed in our field of 68?
Another week in NCAA basketball is complete. And with that, many teams made moves, both positively and negatively, with regards to their seeding for the Big Dance down the road. With conference play nearing its halfway point, there are vital resume-building matchups seemingly every single night and thus the season is seriously heating up.
But while teams are shifting around within the seed lines, there are several pivotal battles occurring on the bubble. With conferences like the Pac-12, Mountain West, and Atlantic 10 clearly in the midst of down seasons, there are bids available at the end of the bracket that usually wouldn’t be. This could be one of the more fun season to follow the bubble so start checking it out!
Please Note: All of my bracketology pieces are meant to predict what I believe the committee would do if the season ended right now. This means that I attempt to eliminate as much personal bias as I can. In order to do this, my first scrub through the entire seed list is done via blind resumes (names redacted) before revealing the names and tinkering based on the eye test.
Now, without any further ado, here is the updated edition of my bracketology projected field of 68. (This field is updated through games on Thursday, Jan. 24. All statistics used in this article were found via Sports-Reference or KenPom unless otherwise noted. The next update of my projected field will be released on Tuesday, Jan. 29 so stay tuned!)
