The Big 12/SEC Challenge will take place on Saturday, with 10 matchups between SEC and Big 12 Basketball teams.

The Big 12 and SEC are consistently two of the top conferences in college basketball. On Saturday, the two conferences will collide for the annual Big 12/SEC challenge. The challenge will feature a total of ten games between Big 12 Basketball and SEC Basketball teams.

Last year, the SEC narrowly won the event, in an exciting ten game slate that went right down to the wire.

This year should be no different. Both the Big 12 and SEC are two major conferences that expect to see at least a half-dozen teams each in the NCAA Tournament. Needless to say, every game should be close, exciting, and eventful.

The challenge is scored on a game-to-game basis, with the winning team in each matchup getting one point towards the conference’s total. Six points, or wins for that matter, wins the event, while five would result in a tie.

Some of the top teams in the country reside in the SEC, as well as the Big 12. There are a total of nine ranked teams amongst the Big 12 and SEC, so Saturday’s challenge should be a load of fun.

Regardless of the outcome, it is always fun to experience non-conference play past the new year. Especially with two elite conferences, Saturday’s event should go right down to the wire, and be every bit as entertaining as one would expect.

The games also serve as a nice break from conference play, which is certainly meaningful in two of the most competitive conferences in the country.

Without further delay, let’s dive into it! Here are previews for each of the ten Big 12/SEC Challenge games on Saturday.
