A crucial Big Ten matchup hits Lincoln on Tuesday night. The Wisconsin Badgers come to Lincoln to take on reeling Nebraska Basketball. This is a big game for both teams, both squads are a quad 1 win as of this moment.

The Huskers enter the game at 13-7, 3-6 in Big Ten play, but have lost three in a row. Michigan State got them by six points at home, a game that the Big Red put all their chips on, then they lost at Rutgers four days later, then again at home against Ohio State last Saturday. To top things off, the arguable best player for Nebraska is now out for the season. Isaac Copeland tore his ACL in the second half against Ohio State, and that is a massive void to fill.

There may not be a bigger game for Tim Miles the rest of this season. The train is coming off the tracks, if the Huskers can scratch out a quad 1 win at home and get things back on track it might not only save the season, but save Miles’ job.

The story for Wisconsin (14-6, 6-3) is the same as it ever was. Ethan Happ is the start and end point of the offense, he can score, he can rebound, he can play defense. He is basically the Badgers’ do everything on both ends of the floor.

The Huskers swept both meetings with Wisconsin last season, so the Badgers will definitely have that in mind come tip-off time Tuesday. All the advantages would seem to play to Wisconsin, so what will it take for the Cornhuskers to pull off a victory?
