1. Protect home court again

Over the past two seasons, this team lost one game at home, an absolute heart breaking last second loss to the Kansas Jayhawks that many argue kept the Big Red out of the Big Dance last year.

Since that Kansas game, Nebraska won 20 straight home games until losing to Michigan State. They lost their next home game vs Ohio State. Nebraska hasn’t looked very inspired or motivated to play since the game against the Spartans. They need to find that fire that made them so dangerous the past year and a half. Copeland is a big loss, but that can also serve as a rallying point.

All of Nebraska’s goals are still in front of them, and sometimes to break out of a funk it only takes one win. The crowds at PBA are always rocking, regardless of how good the team is, and this game should be no different. The Huskers need to come out firing and feed off the home crowd energy and make Wisconsin play Nebraska’s game.

However, if the Cornhuskers come out sluggish again, Wisconsin’s defense can stiffen up and make it a long night for the Huskers. Nebraska is desperate for a win, and they need to play like it.
