7. TCU Horned Frogs (15-6, 3-5 Conference Play)

Previous Ranking: No. 4

Have the TCU Horned Frogs been a mild disappointing team? Yes.

Are they a bubble team? Absolutely not.

There is a massive gap between Texas at number eight and TCP at number seven. Despite the Horned Frogs’ sloppy stretch, they are easily an NCAA Tournament team.

However, the loss of Jaylen Fisher has really hurt. Alex Robinson, while he has been putting up good numbers, has to do too much on offense, and TCU’s thin lineup just lacks the firepower to blow past opponents.

Amidst the struggles, a star has emerged in sophomore guard Kouat Noi. Noi dropped 30 points against Oklahoma, and has been carrying a big shooting load on offense. In his first taste of an increased role, Noi has absolutely thrived.

TCU has a pretty big stretch coming up. They’ll face Iowa State and Kansas after playing Oklahoma State, and if TCU can win two of three, they’ll cement themselves as a surefire tournament team.

If not, then maybe, just maybe, the Frogs will join the bubble conversation. I still refuse to believe that for the time being.
