Bracketology Winners: Arkansas, Baylor lead the way with resume-builders
Wisconsin Badgers
Wisconsin might already be firmly in the NCAA Tournament but it would be a mistake to overlook how well the team played during this past week. First, the Badgers went on the road and took down a Nebraska team who, while reeling as of late, is never easy to take down. Then, they followed that performance up by exacting revenge on Maryland and defending the Kohl Center. These were two massive victories for the Badgers and they look to be in great shape moving forward.
Now winners of five consecutive games, the Badgers are definitely on the rise. And while they do have a very difficult three-game stretch approaching, they finish with a fairly easy final six games in the Big Ten schedule. If the Badgers are able to keep up their high-level play and dominate that final stretch, it is fairly possible that the team will land a protected top-4 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Wisconsin might not be the top team in the Big Ten at this point in time but they are not that far off. With Ethan Happ leading the way and a strong supporting cast pitching in regularly, this is a team that definitely has second-weekend potential.
