There are a few NCAA Basketball mid-majors that are all but assured a spot in the upcoming NCAA Tournament. Which are likely to make a deep run and who may flame out?

Whether you are an avid gambler or not, I’m sure you will invest in a team in some way, shape, or form when NCAA Basketball March Madness rolls around.

Though NCAA Tournament pools always provide excitement, we are all aware of the frustration associated with one’s sure-teams to make the Final Four getting bounced early.

March Madness only comes once a year. For college hoops junkies, the year becomes tainted when the first few rounds are disastrous. So, it can be challenging to trust mid-majors in March. But, come on, it is boring to ride the favorite picks everyone is choosing in their pools.

I’m not here to tell you to disregard dominant Power 5 programs like Tennessee and Duke. However, if you are someone who finds joy in trusting the lesser-known programs, 2019 is your year.

To date, a few mid-major programs have held AP Top 25 rankings for the entire season. Most of which will prove they are for real come the round of 64.

Without further adieu, let’s analyze the stock for the relevant mid-major programs this season. For clarification, a “buy” rating indicates belief the team will be able to succeed in the NCAA Tournament. Choosing to “sell” a program means it would be wise to steer clear of said program in March. “Hold” specifies I don’t know what to make of this team, and more will need to be seen moving forward to designate an explicit rating.
