2. Continued break outs from Xavier Sneed, Cartier Diarra

In the Wildcats’ big win against Kansas on Tuesday, supporting scorers Xavier Sneed and Cartier Diarra continued sneaky good seasons with big performances.

The first of the two, Sneed, contributed 14 points and seven rebounds to the win. On the season, the junior forward is averaging 10 points and six rebounds.

Sneed will need to add a similar performance to his game on Tuesday if the Wildcats want to pull off a tough win on the road. As an under-the-radar option on offense, a breakout game might be necessary for Sneed if Wade and Brown struggle.

The latter of the two, Cartier Diarra, has made an equally big impact on the Wildcats. The sophomore guard has averaged just six points and three rebounds, but has made huge plays that don’t necessarily show up on the scorecard. Against Kansas, Diarra came through with perhaps the Wildcats top play of the season to seal the win.

One of my personal favorite players in the league that not everyone has heard of, I’m predicting a huge game out of Diarra. Baylor will obviously do everything they can to shut down Kansas State’s top scorers, making it the perfect opportunity for Diarra to come through with a break out.

It might be a lot to ask out of unproven secondary options, but big games out of Sneed and Diarra would do wonders for the Wildcats.
