Duke Basketball heads to Virginia for a top-five rematch, after playing only three short weeks ago. The Blue Devils look to extend their conference win streak.

The Duke Blue Devils and Virginia Cavaliers played just three short weeks ago. In their first match-up – the two programs were both ranked No. 1 in either the AP poll or the Coaches poll. The Blue Devils were able to snap the Cavaliers undefeated season with a 72-70, victory. The Blue Devils will have Tre Jones for the rematch after Jones sat out with a shoulder injury in their first meeting.

The Blue Devils are ranked No. 2 in the AP poll heading into Saturday night’s blockbuster rematch. Duke has improved their ACC conference record to (8-1) after their 80-55, win over Boston College on Tuesday night. The Blue Devils have blown out their last five opponents, since their close win versus the Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers are ranked No. 3 in the AP poll – making this their second top-five match-up versus the Blue Devils. Virginia has not lost another game since they lost to Duke. The Cavaliers last two games, however, have been close. They needed overtime to knock off North Carolina State and only beat Miami FL by ten points in their last game.

Saturday night’s match-up could look totally different than their last match-up. First off, the Blue Devils will have Jones in the starting lineup. The game is also being played in Charlottesville and Ty Jerome is currently listed as questionable, but let’s be honest he is more than likely going to be on the floor.
