A lot of NCAA Basketball teams are playing good ball as of late but not all of them are in the national spotlight. Here’s a look at eight teams getting hot at the right time.

Conference tournaments are now less than a month away and positioning for those tournaments has begun in earnest. Now is the time to start looking at teams that could make runs in their conference tournaments and potentially the NCAA Tournament. Yes, there is plenty of time for teams to get hot and go on a run into the postseason but, there are teams that have been playing well for a while and are hoping to ride their momentum into the postseason.

So, who are those teams that are playing well and can ride that wave of success into tournament time? We all know that Tennessee, Duke, Virginia, etc. all fall into that category, in fact, anyone in a top-25 poll probably fits into that category, but outside of that, which teams are outside of the national spotlight that might fall into that category?

These could be mid-major teams that could eventually pull off upsets in the NCAA Tournament or power-five schools that could make a run to the Elite Eight like Kansas State last season or to the Final Four like South Carolina in 2017.

I have identified seven teams that have quietly been playing good basketball and should have an eye kept on them as their postseasons approach. This list is in no particular order and the list could definitely be expanded, but these are the seven teams I have locked on to as getting hot at the right time and could surprise some folks when the calendar flips to March.
