February is a big month for NCAA Basketball as we get ready for the Big Dance. Let’s see which mid-majors made the biggest moves this week.

Best Performance, Individual – Justin Wright-Foreman, Hofstra

The streak is over! After three straight weeks of second-time winners, we’re back to a first-time winner of the Best Individual Performance award this week with Hofstra’s Justin Wright-Foreman.

Although his team took home an honor for their general excellence a couple of weeks ago, this is Wright-Foreman’s first time in the spotlight…when it comes this series at least because the man has been killing it all season.

He nearly dropped 50 on the William & Mary Tribe on Saturday, scoring a career-high 48 points to lead Hofstra to a 93-87 victory.

Wright-Foreman scored efficiently with an array of moves, knocking down 16 of his 24 shots, including a 7/12 mark from three-point range and a 9/11 clip from the free throw line.

He also managed exactly zero rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks, which is astonishing.

The CAA Player of the Year favorite has been outstanding all season. He’s scored at least 14 points in every single game, has hit 30 or more seven times, and has dropped 40-plus twice. He can just flat out score.

That’s the sort of player that can lead an upset in March. I can’t wait to watch him and his teammates in the tournament.

Lots of honorable mentions this week: Jordan Caroline (40-12-3-1) in a Nevada win over Colorado State, 35-6-5-1 for Kevon Harris for Stephen F. Austin in a win over Houston Baptist, 33-7-5-1 for Travis Fields as Radford beat Hampton, 44-4-3 for Harvard’s Bryce Aiken over Columbia, 41-4-3 steals for Matt Morgan as Cornell beat Dartmouth, 41-12-3 steals for Dylan Windler as Belmont beat Morehead State, 36-6-7-2-1 for Justin James in Wyoming’s win vs Colorado State, a 19-11-11-2 triple-double for Tyree Appleby of Cleveland State vs Milwaukee, and 29-20-2-2 for Mike Daum in decimating North Dakota.
