Best Performance, Team – Wofford

The Wofford Terriers have been excellent all season, but this is the first Best Team Performance honor of the year for the 27th-best squad in the nation according to the NET rankings.

Wofford makes its first appearance by staying undefeated in a strong SoCon with Thursday’s 78-76 overtime win against fellow top tier mid-major team ETSU.

Senior scoring star Fletcher Magee had 32 points, while fellow senior Cameron Jackson added 20-8-4-2-1 to lead the Terriers over the Buccs (who were evenly-paced by four double-figure scorers).

The SoCon remains a cage match between the top four teams, and the calls for a two-bid league are certainly out there with the bubble being so weak. But more on that in the next section.

Wofford is one of five teams left in the country that are unbeaten in conference play (four of which are mid-majors: Wofford, Gonzaga, Lipscomb, and Sam Houston State as well as Tennessee).

They are the favorites to come out of the SoCon Tournament right now, but they’ll have to go through a gauntlet to get there.
