Big Ten Basketball Power Rankings: Indiana, Ohio State slides towards bottom
By Adam Childs
The Cornhuskers had a solid week as they were able to pick up two conference wins. They slipped by Minnesota on a controversial ending and then was able to take care of struggling Northwestern. After losing seven straight and basically looking lost they needed a week like they just had. They still have an outside shot at playing back into the tournament, but they need to continue this little winning streak they have started.
They travel to Penn State to start their week before finishing the season playing the top of the Big Ten. They still have to play Purdue, Michigan, Michigan State, and Iowa. They have to beat Penn State and then at least win two of their final four games.
The problem for Nebraska is they are not scoring a lot lately. After losing Isaac Copeland Jr. to season-ending injury they just have not been the same team. James Palmer Jr. has continued to play well, but shouldering the burden all of the scoring has seemed to be too much for him at times. They still have the talent to compete with some of these teams, but they need to prove they can get some big wins if they want to go dancing.
