Best Performance, Team – Quinnipiac and Siena

Only in college basketball can something like a random Sunday night MAAC matchup on a Sunday night become a game of the year candidate.

The Quinnipiac Bobcats and Siena Saints battled for three overtimes, with the conference-leading Quinnipiac crew coming out on top 107-100 on the road.

The Bobcats’ Cameron Young notched 55 points on 15-24 shooting from the field, 9-13 from three-point range, and 16-20 from the free throw line.

Saints’ freshman Jalen Pickett went for 46-4-13-1 and shot 14-26 from the floor and 14-17 the charity stripe.

The Bobcats held onto their top MAAC spot, the Saints proved their mettle by taking it to them, and for a brief moment the college basketball eyes were trained on these two squads.

Cudos to Quinnipiac and Siena for quite the performance.

Wofford, Liberty, Furman, VCU, and Buffalo all came up with big conference wins this week, especially the first two, but more on that in the next section.
