Michigan Basketball is coming off a big win against Maryland on Saturday. Can they take that momentum on the road when they travel to Minnesota on Thursday?

Matchup: Michigan Wolverines (22-3, 12-3 Big Ten) at Minnesota Golden Gophers (17-9, 7-8 Big Ten)

Date and time: Thursday, Feb. 20 at 7:00 p.m. ET

TV schedule: ESPN

Location: Crisler Center, Ann Arbor, MI

The Wolverines had an up and down week last week. They started it off by being upset by Penn State on Tuesday. They played a horrible first half that was capped off by coach John Beilein being ejected as the first half ended because of a questionable non-call on Zavier Simpson. While Michigan played better they couldn’t get over the hump and fell to the Nittany Lions.

They bounced back on Saturday and picked up a big home win against a very good Maryland team. The Wolverines shut down the Terrapins offensively in the first half and carried that into a win. Michigan is undefeated at home this year and needs to take that same intensity on the road on when they visit Minnesota.

The first time these two teams met in late January Charles Matthews hit a buzzer-beating shot to win the game for the Wolverines. It was a game of runs as Minnesota raced out to a big lead before Michigan went on 23-3 run to take what seemed like complete control of the game. But the Golden Gophers would score ten straight points before Matthews game-winner. Both teams struggled offensively in that game and it could be more of the same on Thursday.

Here are three things the Wolverines need to do to come out with a win and head home for their huge matchup with Michigan State still tied for first place.
