We had another action-packed week of Big 12 Basketball. Here we break down some of our top takeaways as we head into the final couple games.

We had a really good week of Big 12 basketball. Baylor picked up a huge road win on Tuesday against Iowa State as that was just one of the three games that took place during the week. The other two featured Kansas State getting a road win over West Virginia and Oklahoma State beating TCU at home.

Saturday, we saw some huge performances in what was a great day of basketball. Oklahoma picked up a crucial home win for their NCAA Tournament hopes when they beat Texas 69-67. They had a big lead and almost blew it but they were able to hold on as Christian James led the way with 19 points and 8 rebounds.

Then, the next slate of games featured Baylor picking up a home win over West Virginia and TCU taking care of business at home against Iowa State. The win for Baylor keeps them in the running for the Big 12 title. This was Iowa State’s second loss to TCU in the past two weeks and should be enough to get the Horned Frogs into the NCAA Tournament.

We also saw Kansas State absolutely embarrass the Oklahoma State Cowboys. They dominated from the start and they did it on both ends of the floor. This team is locked in and they appear ready to make a late-season push to secure a Big 12 title to get them in a good spot to make a deep NCAA Tournament run.

Kansas State was fantastic, for sure, but the team of the day is the Texas Tech Red Raiders as they absolutely bullied the Kansas Jayhawks for 40 minutes. It’s very rare to see a Bill Self coached team play like that as it wasn’t even a ball game in the second half. The Red Raiders made a statement but check out who else impressed us this week with our three main takeaways from the action.
