With less than a month to go in the season, Big 12 basketball is just now establishing a top tier of teams. Where does each team rank?

In every edition of the bi-weekly Big 12 power rankings, we always seem to talk about how inconsistent the order of power in Big 12 basketball truly is. This time around, it’s a little different. After two months of grueling play, the Big 12 finally looks to have established a group of four teams that are true contenders to win the regular season title.

Who are those teams? You’ll have to wait and see.

In the meantime, let’s summarize where the Big 12 stands at this point in the season. As of this week, the Big 12 has four ranked teams, two of which have stayed in the rankings for the majority of the season. In addition to those teams ranked among the top-25 in the country, the Big 12 looks to likely have a total of eight teams in the NCAA tournament, one of which is a true bubble team. The Big 12 will certainly have six teams in the Big Dance, but will not have any more than eight, pending a major upset in the Big 12 Tournament.

Also, the Big 12 has a couple of players who could be up for major awards at the end of the season, as well as a few players who could be lottery picks in the NBA Draft. Talent has never been a shortage in the Big 12, but this time around, the talent looks to be as good as in recent memory. Past the brand name talent, several players have emerged as key contributors in wake of suspensions, transfers, and injuries. The pure depth of the league has been on full display throughout the season and has been a defining element of the Big 12 conference as a whole.

Now that you’re all caught up, let’s get right into the rankings. Here are where all ten Big 12 teams stand with just one month to go, starting with number ten.
