Team to watch: LSU Tigers

LSU is starting to live up to its preseason hype. Although still quite inexperienced from a roster construction perspective, this team is currently playing well beyond its years and has what it takes to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers have won 15 of their last 17 games and recently recorded huge wins over both Kentucky and Florida. Because of these performances, head coach Will Wade’s team is right in the thick of the SEC regular-season title race. In terms of why they are built for a deep run, look no further than the coach on the sidelines and their electric star guard, Tremont Waters. Their inexperience may hurt them in March but that hasn’t seemed to affect them much in the last two months. There are so many capable contributors on this team and that makes them very difficult to match up with.
