Drama in SEC basketball has caused almost every team to move in the rankings, including the top 3 teams. Where did they move to?

We knew that these past few weeks would be very important for a lot of teams who are fighting for placement in the NCAA Tournament. The top tier of teams all got to play each other, with LSU beating both Kentucky and Tennessee. Kentucky also got a great showing when they trounced the Volunteers in Rupp Arena.

Despite LSU beating both teams ahead of them in the previous rankings, they aren’t a lock to be the best team in the SEC. Their win over Kentucky was controversial; they needed overtime to barely beat Tennessee at home, and they lost at home to Florida in between those games.

In the middle tier of the SEC, Auburn has struggled in their recent games. They can beat the teams they are supposed to, but they can’t seem to get a single upset on their resume. They lost at home to Ole Miss after losing a close game against LSU, and they ended this week by getting run out of Kentucky’s gym.

At the bubble, Florida continues to rise, and Alabama continues to fall. It became apparent when the Gators handed it to the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa. They also upset LSU on the road, which will go a long way in determining if this team makes the tournament.

At the bottom of the rankings, Vanderbilt is still trying to find a win on their schedule. Despite the doughnut in SEC games, this team still is fighting hard. However, time is running out for a win.

So, where do these teams rank? With only a few weeks left in the regular season, here’s where we stand. *All statistics come from Sports Reference. All matchup scores come from ESPN*
