Buffalo vs. Miami (OH): 2018-19 College Basketball game preview, TV schedule
Season Review of both teams
The Bulls are the only team in the MAC to have a point differential over 10. 10 of their conference 14 games have been decided by double-digits and their losses have been by a combined six points.
Buffalo, which owns the fifth-rated offense in the nation, ranks either first or second in the conference in several categories. The Bulls are an excellent shooting and extremely unselfish team that hits the boards hard. Defensively, the Bulls are tenuous as they challenge shooters and play the passing lanes as well as harass opposing ball-handlers viciously.
Fourth coach Nate Oats (89-42) uses a nine-man rotation that is very versatile and well-balanced. Massinburg leads five players who average at least nine points while Perkins tops three players who grab six or more boards.
Miami has picked up its defense after permitting its first four conference opponents to top the 70 point mark. The Redhawks have held eight of their last 11 opponents to under 70 points, including four of those opponents to 65 points or less
The Redhawks are slightly above-average in terms of offensive efficiency as they don’t shoot the ball well and are average in protecting the ball. But they do like to hoist up three-pointers. Defensively, Miami is average as well and ranks in the top six of the conference several categories.
Second-year coach Jack Owens (31-31) has a relatively young squad with just three seniors. Owens plays between nine and 11 players a game. Sibane leads four Redhawk players who average seven points and nearly five rebounds a game.
