America East Bracketology

According to TeamRankings.com the America East is projected as a one seed, which we all knew it would be. They have Vermont projected as a 13-seed, the same seed they were two seasons ago, the last time they were in a tournament. FanSided’s Bracketology also has the Catacombs as a 13-seeds. They are also a 13-seed in the latest ESPN Bracketology with Joe Lunardi. So basically they are a 13-seed according to everyone if they should win.

As this conference is a one-bid one, there are no projections for the potential seeds of the other teams, except for TeamRankings which will account for the rest of these predictions “official bracketology”. To begin Stony Brook is viewed as a 14-seed, and I disagree because I believe that they should be viewed as a 13-seed as well due to away wins at South Carolina and Rhode Island, and a close loss against Holfstra.

From there, the rest of the  teams are projected as 16-seeds, which I do not argue. For reference, UMBC will have 22 wins if they qualify for the tournament, last season as a 16-seed they had 24 wins before they won in a massive upset. No other team that’s in the top three seeds can have more than 20 wins, and that is why there will be no way any team not named Stony Brook or Vermont will be above a 16-seed as they will have 27 wins if they qualify.
