Many Big Ten Basketball schools already have received key commitments for the 2019 recruiting class. Which ones have had the most success to this point?

With March finally upon us, much of the focus in college basketball shifts towards post-season play. This season brought fans as much excitement as any, as there were three teams tied for first entering the final Saturday of the Big Ten Basketball regular season. After this exciting final weekend of action that saw Purdue and Michigan State snag co-champion honors, the Big Ten tournament in Chicago is now only a few days away. Selection Sunday happens right after that, followed by the real madness shortly after that.

So while it’s true that the most meaningful basketball is still left to play, it’s still not too early to look towards the future of Big Ten basketball. We’ve seen enough from each of these teams, even the bubble teams whose March plans hang in uncertainty, in order to make some conclusions regarding team needs. After all, it’s only natural for college sports fans to let their minds wander into the future.

So before those tournaments kick-off and we all get lost in the chaos, let’s take a quick look at the all 14 Big Ten programs stand in the recruiting world. In this piece, the recruiting outlooks for every team will be analyzed in regards to what departing players will need to be replaced, who is already committed so far, and how the schools are looking to close out the current cycle in terms of those departures and needs.
