Washington Huskies

Current Bracketology Status: No. 10 seed.

Washington is in an interesting position. Yes, I completely understand that the Huskies have not beaten a single team that is currently projected to make the NCAA Tournament and they have also stumbled quite a bit down the stretch of this season. With that said, though, their zone defense can be extremely hard to match up with. As Syracuse has done in the past, Washington has the potential to disrupt several offenses who are not used to facing off against their size, length, and tenacity in that zone defense.

Additionally, the Huskies have a few offensive stars that can take over games when necessary. Jaylen Nowell and Noah Dickerson both score the ball at a relatively high rate and have what it takes to make big-time plays. This does not even include the presence of senior leader David Crisp and arguably the best wing defender in the country in Matisse Thybulle. In the end, UW might not land a high seed in the NCAA Tournament and they might be trending down at the moment but they can make a deep run happen.

For the season, the Huskies have recorded a 24-7 (15-3 P12) even though they have received their fair share of criticism as of late. If they find a rhythm during this next week in the Pac-12 Tournament, they could enter the Big Dance as a team that is a nightmarish matchup for some top seeds.
